"Despite spending many years admiring all kinds of vehicles, I feel like I started later than others when it came to actually working on them. Before enrolling in Automotive Tech. at Green River College in Auburn, WA, I didn't have much hands-on experience. I'm aware that I still have a lot to learn if I ever expect to reach the level of my previous instructors, and I'm not sure I'll ever fully match my current mentor, Dale Wickell. I've been his apprentice at LeMay – America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, WA, for just under a year, however he has about 50 more years of knowledge than I do! This will be my first time participating in the Great Race, so I hope it will be a memorable experience. I'm eager to connect with new people and places along the way. Beyond the race and my apprenticeship, I have an '84 S-10 pickup that desperately needs attention."
